The present logo tells a lot about the history and the story about the project. It started with just two arrows (actually they are the 'greater than' and 'less than' characters from the computer keyboard) coming from different directions. Two arrows because ExRBi used to be a mere work of two group of people, namely the PESO/DILG of Atimoman and the website developer. Now, when these arrows meet, lo and behold an image one big X was created. The X does not only tell about the 'Expanded' but it also helps the designer meet one of the most important objective of a web developer and website promoter, that is to create a good favicon. The favicon is that tiny image which we see in our browser tabs. It serves a very important purpose which one could learn from technology blogs.
Another image which was created after the meeting of two arrows is the RBI box. We will be always reminded that the project started because of the memorandum circular issued by the Department of Interior and Local Government and this project is a sign of willingness to follow the order because we all believe in the wisdom behind that order.
The creator of the logo used to think these arrows merely represent the Atimonan ExRBI team meeting the software development team. But the moment when this system was presented to the barangay officials who immediately showed eagerness and the sense of willingness and cooperation, looking at the logo now, one could see more people at the picture. One group is represented by the barangay inhabitants themselves thru their barangay officials. And coming from the other direction and represented by the other arrow is the group of potential end-users who would have interest from the data of barangay inhabitants. They could be the decision makers or legislative people who could gather real time data for example of addressing the unemployment problem. Another example are the data about unhealthy inhabitants which proves useful for the local and national or even international health officials.
